Church Matters' Services

My training must scratch where you are itching! Content will be designed to meet your specific requirements. However, some subjects are frequently asked for, and I offer them as a guideline. They are usually best presented as one day packages:

  • Managing yourself: time management
  • Team building
  • Motivation
  • Leadership
  • Conflict and reconciliation
  • Vision
  • Management of change
  • Communication skills
  • Negotiations
  • Interviewing and appointing
  • Appraisals
  • Handling stress
  • Developing leaders; coaching and mentoring
  • Creative Problem solving
  • Presentation skills

Consultancy can take many forms and address many issues. Frequently I am asked to undertake some kind of audit. It’s important that the client can establish the scope of the consultancy and then we can discuss the methodology. Systems, structures, governance, administration and relationships are often the focus.

Sometimes my work involves facilitating the vision building process; I’ve also suffered wide experience in conflict reconciliation!

I frequently act as the external facilitator for senior staff appointments and interviews.

Churches and organisations are finding that senior staff have often attended quality training events and are still struggling to put the principles into practice. Sometimes they also need a resource to find a meaningful career path within an organisation. A significant and increasing proportion of my time is spent helping individuals on a one to one basis.

My style is very much based on trust and the ability to ask the right questions; the best answers are usually theirs!

Costs: I have never set a fixed daily rate. There are too many variables e.g. amount of preparation, sustained business, travel time, number of consecutive days required, uniqueness of the preparation and the number of people that I am serving. But I am involved in a spiritual ministry, not just a business and seldom has the finance been an issue between myself and a client. If you feel that I can meet your needs, discuss them with me, and assume that the question of costs will fall into place.
